...it's been a long time since I had an Athlon XP 1600+ in my primary workstation. As my most recent submission shows, the times, they are a-changing. If anyone's interested, that's a Pentium D 820 on top of an Intel D945GNTLR motherboard. No, it's not a rampaging monster of a gaming machine, but it works out very nicely for lengthy compiles.

And having an Intel system chipset means I'm no longer subject to the vagaries of VIA's sh!t products or NVIDIA's sh!t drivers. If NVIDIA ever pulls its thumb out of its collective ass, I may consider an Athlon64 X2. Eventually. Or if AMD ever starts making chipsets again...l
